Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 8, 2026
The Marshi Institute is an educational, media, and technology initiative operated by Alexander Emile Marshi. This policy explains how information is handled on this website, including its collaboration, workshop, assessment-interest, and writing-update forms.
This website’s forms are for professional inquiries and educational updates. Please do not submit patient information, diagnoses, therapy notes, or other sensitive clinical details. The Marshi Institute does not provide psychotherapy through this website.
Information you provide
- Collaboration inquiries: your name, email, and message, plus any optional credentials, city, role, skills, website, or social links you include.
- Interest and update lists: your email and, where requested, your name.
- Correspondence: the content of messages and any additional information you choose to share when contacting us.
Required and optional fields are identified on the forms. You can browse this website without submitting a form.
Information associated with website visits
Our hosting and form providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, referring pages, timestamps, and security or error logs to deliver their services and prevent abuse. The site also loads fonts from Google, which requires your browser to connect to Google’s font servers.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, explore professional collaborations, send the educational updates you request, maintain correspondence, operate and protect the website, and handle privacy requests or legal obligations. Submitting a collaboration inquiry does not sign you up for an unrelated marketing list.
Collaboration introductions receive an email ownership confirmation link. After confirmation, we may review public professional information, such as your submitted portfolio, professional profiles, employer pages, published work, and official credential records. AI-assisted research through Codex may summarize your professional introduction and public sources into a private brief. Briefs distinguish submitted claims from supported facts and identify uncertainties; Alexander makes collaboration decisions personally. We do not use this process to infer sensitive personal characteristics. You can request correction or deletion of the brief using the contact below.
Providers and sharing
Information is processed by the services needed to operate the site and deliver messages:
- Vercel hosts this website and processes information associated with delivering and securing it. See Vercel’s privacy notice.
- Google Workspace (Sheets, Apps Script, and email) stores submissions in a private lead tracker and processes confirmation emails, notifications, and replies. See Google’s privacy policy.
- OpenAI Codex assists with private professional research briefs using collaboration introductions and relevant public sources. Names and public professional context may be used in web searches; private contact details and submitted message text are not included in search queries. See OpenAI’s privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts used on the main pages. See Google’s privacy policy and its Google Fonts privacy explanation.
- Google Analytics measures visits and successful form submissions only after you allow analytics cookies. Form answers, names, and email addresses are not sent to Analytics. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled.
Providers may use their own infrastructure and subprocessors, including systems outside your country. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to address fraud, security threats, or legal claims.
Cookies, tracking, and browser signals
Google Analytics loads only when you choose “Allow analytics.” It uses cookies to measure visits, pages, traffic sources, and successful submissions. Declining does not affect the forms. Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to change your choice. The site honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track by keeping Analytics disabled. We do not use advertising pixels or advertising cookies.
Analytics page addresses omit unrelated query parameters and page fragments; referring addresses are reduced to their origin. Campaign labels may accompany both analytics events and submissions so we can understand which outreach brings inquiries.
Retention
Retention depends on the type of record, ongoing correspondence, the update list you request, and the systems processing the information. Submitted messages may remain in email accounts and provider systems. There is no fixed automatic deletion period applied by this website to those email copies.
Leads remain in the private tracker and email account until manually removed. There is no automatic deletion schedule. A temporary hashed IP identifier is used for form rate limiting; it is not saved with your lead. Google Analytics applies its own data retention settings.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted, or ask to stop receiving updates. Email alex@marshiinstitute.com with the subject “The Marshi Institute privacy request.” Include the email address used in your submission and describe your request. Please do not include sensitive clinical information or identity documents in your initial message.
We may need to verify a request before disclosing or changing information. Applicable law, security needs, provider limitations, and retained backups may affect what can be provided or deleted. Any statutory rights and response requirements depend on the laws applicable to the request; this policy does not represent that every privacy statute applies to The Marshi Institute.
Security and sensitive information
The deployed site and its form endpoint use HTTPS. No online system can guarantee complete security. These forms are not a clinical intake system, and this policy is not a HIPAA notice of privacy practices.
Children
The website’s professional-inquiry and update forms are intended for adults. Please do not submit information about children or patients. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us to request review and removal.
Other websites
This policy covers this The Marshi Institute website. Linked tools, including Love on Purpose and Choose Better, and the separate clinical website at alexmarshi.com may have different data practices. Review the privacy information on each destination before submitting information there.
Changes and contact
Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date. Privacy questions can be sent to Alexander Emile Marshi, The Marshi Institute, at alex@marshiinstitute.com.
